Project summary
The aim of the project of Miroslav Tížik (Slovak Academy of Sciences, Institute of Sociology) and Anne-Laure Zwilling (CNRS, Strasbourg University) with the support of two postdoctoral fellows, one from France (Anne Lancien, GSRL, Paris) and one from Slovakia (Michal Puchovský, SAS), is to foster cooperation within the EUREL network between France and Slovakia. EUREL's activities also include the preparation of biennial international conferences, which take place alternately in France and in another member country of the network. In 2025, the conference will be held in Bratislava and its main themes will be the transformation of religion in Europe in the context of the long-term formation of the European Union and its gradual enlargement. The aim will be to bring the perspectives of Central and Eastern European countries more intensively into the discussions on the processes of change in the field of religious life in Europe. The second focus of the EUREL network is to strengthen discussions and contacts between researchers in the field of sociology and law in Europe and Canada and to foster further joint actions.
