Changing Representations of a Decent Life in the Life History Narratives and in the Public Discourse
Project: VEGA 2/0134/19
Duration: 1.1.2019 - 31.12.2021
Principal investigator: PhDr. Kusá Zuzana CSc.
Scientific co-workers: Mgr. Dominika Orišková
Annotation: The project goal is to illuminate continuing decline of social solidarity - understood here as the warranty of decent life for all - by examining relations among changing normative ideas of decent life in the political discourse and the ideas people formulate during narration about their life at particular time and space. At the same time, the project intends to prove the usefulness of the secondary analysis of qualitative data and thus legitimate the intent to design and construct the multilevel and open archive of life history narratives and other qualitative data collected by Zuzana Kusá during her research projects since 1990. The aim is to secure that preparation of the metadata and the material anonymization would bear the toughest ethical criteria and meet conditions for secondary utilisation of qualitative data not only in descriptive research but in the theoretical research too.
