Social trust is considered to be a basic condition and the foundation of social life, which enables the functioning of human relationships and democratic institutions. Slovakia, along with many other post-communist countries, belongs among countries with low social and institutional trust, but this topic has not been analysed in its complexity yet. One of the main objectives of the project is to provide an answer to the question of what is the state of social trust in Slovakia, what changes has it gone through since 1990 and how does it relate to democracy. In this context, we will be also interested in the relationship of conspiracy thinking and trust. As part of the research of political trust, we will also focus on the forms of its visual communication.
