Annotation: The project aims at analysing the election 1946 from the political and historical perspective, including the estimate of the structural distribution of the electoral support by the up-to date methods of ecological inference. However, the objective is to extend the analyses of the election not only going to the past but also to the future: general election 2016 will be likely held in the time of duration of our proposed project. Both analytical objectives are structured by their content. Election 2016 will have a strong comparative dimension with the elections held in Slovakia since 1994, as well as cross-country comparisons with the elections in other countries. The out puts of the project will be summarized in two scientific publications, monographs: „Election 1946“ and „Slovak Election ‘16“. The latter publication should be sent to printing in the first half of the third year of the project, whereas the publication Election 1946 will be submitted by the end of the three-year project.
