The present project is based on theoretical elaboration and field surveys will focus on the nature of the current transformation of the rural community in Slovakia, under the influence of lifestyle changes to reflect the globalization processes to the local level, leading to fragmentation of individual social roles and their performance in spatial projection. These factors, together with the socio-cultural transformations village life, shaping a new form of rural community, weakening some of its traditional attributes of one community. That changes of the rural community´s nature is also reflected in changes in architectural and urban "features" of the rural environment. There will also be symbols urban-lifestyle trends - the internationalization and Europeanisation. There lead to changes in the rural landscape. The emerging new forms of residential community may be significantly different, depending on their developmental trajectories.
