The institute for Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences invites applications for the position of a junior researcher / researcher.

- a PhD (or an almost finished PhD) in Sociology, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Geography or in other related fields
- extensive experience with academic publishing exemplified by publications in relevant journals or books published by well established academic publishers

- a research stay at a prestigious academic institution outside of Slovakia
- experience with statistical software and advanced statistical methods
We offer a permanent position with a remuneration between 1 400,- and 1 870,- EUR based on length of experience. Recent PhD graduates are entitled to a 150,- monthly bonus. PhD graduates up to four years after finishing their degree can be awarded a competitive monthly stipend of 300,- EUR.
